zest of 1 lemon
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup oil
1 cup milk
3 cups flour
3 tsp baking powder
3 tbsp cocoa
Pre-heat oven on 180°C /350°F.
Beat sugar, eggs, vanilla, lemon zest and oil.
Add flour, baking powder and milk. Beat well.
Divide mixture in 2 bowls. Stir the cocoa powder into one of the mixture. Pour batter in a pre-greased baking pan.
Alternately spoon the mixtures into the pan.
Bake for 40-45 minutes. Check early, cake is done when a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. .Cool the cake in the pan on a wire rack
